Everything that’s great about northern Ontario starts to converge in September. The nights are cool, the days are warm, most of the bugs are gone, and fall colours explode with millions of trees turning red, orange, yellow, and gold.
As the weather gets colder, many peoples thoughts turn to hunting. At Blue Fox, the hunting options are limited only by your skill and hard work (and willingness to get up early). Surrounded by thousands of acres of wilderness with an abundance of game, Blue Fox offers hunting for partridge, black bear, and moose.
We’ll work with you to make sure that your hunting trip is one to remember, hopefully with a trophy to take home at the end. Our staff have been hunting in the area for years, and can help narrow down the places to go, the time to hunt, and the strategies to use. Our camp cook will help out with an early breakfast and a packed lunch to get you through the day.

The hunting season starts in late September at Blue Fox, with shotgun hunting for partridge and bow/crossbow hunting for moose and bear. Known around Blue Fox as the “Cast and Blast”, guests are also able to fish for rainbow and brook trout. Into October and November, the rifle season for moose and bear opens.
