Getting Here

Blue Fox Camp and Blue Fox Outpost are located on Kirkpatrick (Blue) Blue Lake in the Algoma Highlands of northern Ontario.

Kirkpatrick Lake is approximately 50 kms north of Hwy 17 on Lake Huron’s north channel.

The closest major town is Blind River, located:
- 1.5 hours from Sault Ste Marie
- 2 hours from Sudbury
- 5.5 hours from Toronto
- 6.5 hours from Detroit

Float Plane access

There are three float planes that service Blue Fox Camp, Lauzon Aviation operating out of Lake Lauzon, Timberwolf Air operating out of Lake Duborne and Glassy Bay Outfitters operating out of Elliot Lake.

All three flights are approximately 20 minutes from the Air Base to Blue Lake.

All planes are De Havilland Beavers and carry approximately 1200 pounds.

Trail access

Once you make the turn north onto HWY 546 at Iron Bridge on HWY 17 there is a parking spot for a truck/trailer and a network of logging roads and trails that allows access into Blue Fox Main Camp by ATV or side by side. This way into Blue Fox is an adventure in itself, and is recommended only for those who have wilderness experience.
